Ex-AXA P&C programme director to lead ACE’s P&C, accident and health and consumer lines

Ace has hired Véronique Brionne (pictured) as country president covering the Iberia region.

Brionne will be responsible for managing the performance, strategy and development of ACE’s property/casualty (P&C), accident and health and consumer lines operations in Spain and Portugal.

She will be based in Madrid and will report to Jeff Moghrabi, regional president for Continental Europe.

She joins ACE from AXA where she was P&C programme director for the Northern, Central and Eastern European regions and succeeds Angel Diaz, who was recently appointed as country president in Brazil.

At AXA, she was responsible for improving the profitability of the regional P&C business, the development of the product portfolio in the corporate and SME segments, and strategic development.

Moghrabi said: “With 15 years of relevant insurance industry experience, management responsibility spanning both commercial and personal lines, and dedicated experience across a range of countries and functional disciplines, Brionne brings a great wealth of all-round experience to this key role for ACE.

“Iberia is one of ACE’s most important markets in Continental Europe and Brionne is ideally placed to drive forward our plans for targeted growth and continued investment in the property and casualty business and in the accident and health sector, where Spain is a centre of expertise for our region and represents our largest direct marketing business in Continental Europe.”
