David Wilson will take over from Steve Hanley, who will retire at the end of this year
Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has appointed David Wilson as global head of energy claims based in London.
Wilson takes over from Steve Hanley, who has worked for AGCS for seven years and will be retiring at the end of 2014.
His new role will be to foster closer relationships with its clients through embedding the value of a strong claims relationship. As part of this he will ensure that AGCS delivers on its claims promise to clients.
Wilson has more than 13 years experience in claims having held several senior positions, most recently as the energy and property claims manager for a London- based insurance company. During his career he has held international responsibility for offshore energy, onshore energy, power, construction and many other areas pivotal to his new role.
Paul O’Neill, global head of energy said: “David brings with him a wealth of industry experience and we are looking forward to him being part of the team. He has a strong market reputation, which coupled with the skills we have in the team we will be able to further demonstrate the importance of a proactive claims relationship to our clients.”
