The theme for AIRMIC’s annual conference in Birmingham next summer (16-18 June) will be ‘Risk Management - Combining art with science’, and the event will major on practical help for risk managers. The programme will reflect risk managers’ key requirements - constructive advice on improving risk management programmes, the ability to network freely with colleagues, and the discovery of leading edge information and practice.

AIRMIC is asking seminar presenters, exhibitors, service providers and speakers to provide brief practical advice guides for delegates, and is also asking key speakers to angle their presentations to give maximum practical assistance. Speakers in the plenary sessions will be: Will Hutton. chief executive of the Industrial Society; Dr Larry Philips, visiting professor of operational research at the London School of Economics; John Kay, feature columnist of the Financial Times, and David Mair, president of US risk management body RIMS.
