He joins from insurer Argo Group, where he was chief risk and sustainability officer

Audit, tax, advisory and risk firm Crowe, has appointed Alex Hindson as head of sustainability. He joins from Argo Group, where he was chief risk and sustainability officer.

He has previously worked at AstraZeneca, Aon and Amlin, in a variety of risk management, consulting and governance roles. Hindson has also acted as a non-executive director for non-profit organisations, including as board chairman.

Together with the existing Risk Consulting team, Hindson will help clients across all sectors with their net zero transition, sustainability strategy development and implementation, risk and governance enhancement, data and scenario modelling plus reporting and disclosure requirements.

He will also drive Crowe’s own sustainability programme, with Hindson commenting that 2023 would be an important year for sustainability issues.

“Helping clients on their sustainability journeys really is more crucial than ever, at a time where the spotlight is so firmly on ESG and being able to credibly substantiate your organisation’s credentials,” he added.
