HSBC’s former head of global equities has refilled a £5m discrimination claim against the bank alleging misconduct

HSBC’s openly gay former head of global equities has relaunched a £5m discrimination claim, according to reports.

Peter Lewis has refilled a discrimination claim against the bank alleging misconduct in its investigation after he was accused of indecent behaviour by a colleague.

Lewis had his case quashed last year by the Employment Appeals Tribunal, which ordered a fresh hearing.

HSBC has successfully defended Lewis’ claim that he was sacked for being gay.
