Electrical Contractors’ Insurance Company (ECIC) has joined forces with risk management firm OHS Ltd to launch new health and safety courses in Staffordshire and Cheshire aimed at the building industry.

The aim of the training is to enable attendees to recognise client compliance risk and determine if their Health and Safety management systems reflect good practice in areas of asbestos, fire safety and water management.

ECIC sales and marketing director, Phil Scarrett said: “Health and Safety is vital in the building services industry and it is something that should be reviewed regularly. The point of this course is to help brokers stay up-to-date with the relevant legislation and also to review with them the risk assessment and management aspects of the Health and Safety legislation faced by their clients.”

The Contractor Health and Safety Training Course proved popular when launched late last year and has now been extended to other parts of the UK.
