Maxim Shimchenko and Svetlana Pirogova join Oslo Marine Group as joint head marine underwriters
Scandinavia Insurance Company (SIC), the specialist insurance unit of St Petersburg-based Oslo Marine Group, has appointed Maxim Shimchenko and Svetlana Pirogova as joint head marine underwriters.
Focusing on Hull and Machinery and P&I business, Shimchenko will specialise in large fleets and cargo insurance, while Pirogova concentrates on SIC’s international yacht, lifeboat and barges account.
According to Keith Parker, managing director of Oslo Marine’s London office. The appointments will enable SIC both to grow its domestic business and develop its international broker base by leveraging the specialist expertise within the company.
