Interactive Driving Systems (IDS) global Virtual Fleet Risk Management System has facilitated a customer benchmarking programme, so that like-minded individuals and organisations can share best practi

The initial benchmarking meeting was attended by BT, global logistics and vehicle rental company Ryder, paper and recycling specialist SCA and the Northern Foods Group transport division, NFT.

Each participant presented key data in relation to the safety of their fleet. All have had some recent improvements in their performance, but were able to identify areas of opportunity. The participants agreed to benchmark and compare their performances with others on an ongoing basis.

The network will meet formally twice per year and set up a web-based system to compare key performance indicators.
