Dr. Craig Schultz will develop RMS' global catastrophe modeling capabilities

Risk Management Solutions (RMS) has appointed Dr. Craig Schultz as vice president of product management.

Dr. Schultz will play a central role in guiding the development of RMS' global catastrophe modeling capabilities and will focus specifically on ensuring that the models enable robust decision making by RMS clients.

“Craig has a wealth of experience in leading fast-paced, multi-disciplinary programs to design and develop both complex risk models as well as the applications that enable those models to be used for making timely and confident decisions about risk.

Paul VanderMarck, chief products officer at RMS

Dr. Schultz most recently served in a senior technology leadership position at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. During his 13 years at the lab, he led the development of risk models for Department of Defense and Department of Energy analysts across a broad range of environmental security and national security risk areas. Most recently, Dr. Schultz led the team that launched the laboratory's advanced architectures testbed, assembling high-performance, next-generation software and hardware architectures for complex, data-intensive modeling applications.

Paul VanderMarck, chief products officer at RMS, commented: ‘Craig has a wealth of experience in leading fast-paced, multi-disciplinary programs to design and develop both complex risk models as well as the applications that enable those models to be used for making timely and confident decisions about risk. We are delighted that he will be applying his significant talent and experience to developing solutions to the challenges faced by our clients in understanding and managing catastrophe risk.’
