AIRMIC's technical manager Paul Hopkin has now conducted four day-long courses on the design and implementation of enterprise risk management (ERM), and these have been so successful that the association has organised two further days and is considering offering places to non-members. The two further courses will be held in London in July (2006). Course content includes a review of risk management in the context of corporate governance, and consideration of ERM in terms of the activities of the business and how it achieves its objectives. It then looks at the content of the risk management policy and what benefits an ERM initiative can deliver.
