Willis Towers Watson has appointed Bibi de Vries as its new head of Benelux.

She takes up her new role with immediate effect, and is responsible for setting the strategic direction and driving growth in all Benelux markets (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg).

Based in Amstelveen in the Netherlands, De Vries succeeds Bart den Hartog, who is joining elipsLife in Zürich, Switzerland.

She joined the brokerage firm in 2016 as a senior consultant working in business development. She was a member of the Dutch Parliament from 1994 until 2006, and then spent nine years with Achmea, a financial services company.

Paul Morris, head of Western Europe, said: “We are delighted that Bibi will fulfill this role. She is a proven leader with a clear vision on how Willis Towers Watson will strengthen our market-leading position in the Benelux.”
