PentaSafe has launched a free, on-line security audit. The first tier, completed by a senior board member, enables organisations to assess their level of security against PentaSafe’s benchmark, and to establish how their company fares against organisations in similar business sectors. The second tier, completed anonymously by someone else in the organisation, then enables the company to establish how well its employees understand and observe its security procedures.
Each participating company will receive immediate feedback on the answers, based on best practices in information security policies and awareness. Each will also be provided with an index score, which will allow them to compare their awareness level to other participants.
The Information Security Awareness Index covers the following topics: information security governance, security awareness, regulatory compliance, management commitment, security roles and responsibilities, security funding, incident response and continuous security improvement.
