This year’s Institute of Risk Management top prize has been awarded to Maria Passa, head of technical risk and pricing at Arval Hellas S.A. in Greece.

Passa won the International Diploma in Risk Management Student of the Year award by displaying a wide range of academic and practical risk management skills, said IRM chief executive Steve Fowler.

She wins one week, all expenses paid, work experience in Qatar, sponsored by Business Resilience Europe.

The International Certificate in Risk Management Student of the Year prizes went to:

Tim Butters, Business Information Analyst for Mako Global in London, Anthony Dionisi, Assistant Director for the UK Border Agency in Croydon Elaine Casey, Risk Manager for Bord Gais Eireann in Cork, Ireland.

The prizes were presented at the Institute’s annual awards dinner by Ruth Badger from the TV series The Apprentice.

IRM’s Chief Executive, Steve Fowler, said ‘The continuing success of these qualifications significantly helps our work to promote risk management as a profession world-wide.’
